Customer Focus Our goal is to satisfy our existing customers and to attract new customers by building and maintaining a reputation in the aerospace and defense industries as a company that offers cost-effective, high-quality solutions to complex problems. While most of our customers have needs that offer unique challenges, there are some characteristics common to all. Identifying these "universal" requirements and satisfying them in a timely and efficient manner is the cornerstone of maintaining our existing business relationships and building new ones. We have come to recognize that all customers, regardless of industry, are interested in these essentials: being listened to and understood, being shown respect, being kept informed, and in receiving superior value in the form of final product delivered on time at a fair price. |

We have structured our organization and educated our employees to focus on supporting our customers throughout our entire relationship. We have succeeded in building long-term relationships with our customers based on trust. We believe that the way to achieve our goal is to continually improve our people, processes, products, and facilities. We are dedicated to training, educating, and involving our employees in the pursuit of customer satisfaction and problem-solving.
Carleton's president Paddy Cawdery has articulated the following expectations to our employees. These expectations serve to illustrate our commitment to our customers and to continual improvement:
At Carleton, we think of our suppliers and customers as partners with us in a mutually beneficial business venture. People on all sides of a business - its suppliers, employees, and customers are really more alike than different. By fostering values important to us - cooperation and mutual respect - we hope to enhance the experiences of everyone with whom we do business as well as the people at Carleton. Quality Policy We are executing business in a technical market where exacting product performance is expected. The products we manufacture at Carleton perform at the deepest depths of the oceans, in all levels of the atmosphere, and in the farthest reaches of outer space. More importantly, many of them provide vital life support for their users. In essence our systems must work and perform flawlessly, and without failing for their entire missions. There is no margin for error. Because the cost of failure is prohibitive, our performance standard is zero defects. We will always pursue excellence and accept the product and service challenges we are offered. The responsibility to design, manufacture, and build defect-free products is imperative to all employees. To perform our work well, to do it consistently, and to do it with pride necessitates that each of us be responsible for the quality of our own work. Our ability to consistently and predictably deliver quality products to our customers at a competitive price fortifies our reputation and insures the company's and our own success. We will achieve and maintain this goal within a team environment through a continual process of quality improvement using structured problem solving with a process focus. Environmental Policy The preservation of the environment in which we live is very important to us. Therefore it is important that we remain committed to the prevention of pollution, and the efficient use of natural resources. We will continually challenge our product designs with the intent of minimizing or possibly eliminating those processes that have a negative impact on the environment. We will also continuously challenge our business and manufacturing processes to insure efforts are made to minimize or eliminate environmentally damaging materials. Specifically we are committed to the following:
Carleton Technologies is committed to being a good corporate neighbor. We understand and accept the responsibility of protecting the land under our stewardship and our impact on the environment.
