Carleton Technologies Inc

In 1997, Carleton acquired Fullerton Sherwood Engineering Ltd. in Mississauga, Ontario, the world leader in supplying MCM rebreathers to the military. Fullerton Sherwood Engineering is now fully integrated into Carleton Life Support Technologies Ltd. in Mississauga.

Founded in 1979, Fullerton Sherwood began by providing engineering services to the diving and medical hyperbaric communities. By 1982, the company's activities had expanded to include the design and manufacture of diving and medical hyperbaric systems as well as the provision of project management and consulting services. A strategic joint venture in the early 1980s provided Fullerton Sherwood with the latest technology to manufacture, market, and service one-man mini-submarines and remotely operated vehicles in the Canadian offshore market. The company also continued to consolidate its position as a leading designer and manufacturer of ambient pressure diving systems as well as a reliable source of expertise in life support technology.

As a result of an unsolicited proposal to the Canadian Forces, Fullerton Sherwood developed a rebreather for deep mine countermeasures and shallow covert diving operations and captured the world leadership position.

Today, CLST continues to develop and manufacture an expanding line of military rebreathing equipment for MCM, special forces, and maritime anti-terrorist activities. CLST also offers engineering, maintenance, and custom-manufacturing services related to diving and hyperbaric systems for military customers.
