Emergency Inflation SystemsInflation systems for escape slides, rafts, and floatation devices consist of a gas storage vessel, gas control valve, hoses, and in many cases, air aspirators. When the inflatable is small enough, the gas stored in the vessel is sufficient to provide complete inflation. These systems typically use a simple dump valve to release the gas into the inflatable. For larger systems, where gas volume in the inflatable is extremely large, it is impractical to store all of the required gas in the vessel. These systems are augmented using air aspirators that draw ambient air into the inflatable as the vessel is discharged through the aspirator. Typically, these systems insert 80% of the required inflation gas from the air, allowing the use of a much smaller vessel.
Among the products Carleton manufactures for commercial emergency inflation systems is: Escape Slide Inflation System Emergency Inflation Systems |
