Radiator Isolation Valve

Our new radiator isolation valve is a three-way cooling system valve used on the Space Shuttle. The valve's primary function is to allow for re-routing of the freon loop from the radiator panels into a return reservoir, which may be necessary if the radiator panels leak during flight. Two valves will be installed in each orbiter. The valve is a derivative of our bypass valve and flow control valve, which have been in service in the freon loop since the inception of the Shuttle program.

Among the products Carleton manufactures for ECLSS are:

Atmospheric Revitalization and Pressure Control System
Primary Life Support System and Secondary Oxygen Pack Regulators
Airlock Nitrogen/Oxygen Components
Water Spray Boiler Regulator
Radiator Isolation Valve
