Telstar Regulator

Most large, geosynchronous earth orbiting satellites, such as Telstar, utilize bipropellant propulsion systems for orbit insertion and station keeping. The preferred method of controlling pressure in such systems is a series redundant, helium pressure regulator. Carleton has designed and produced regulators specifically for this market. Our regulators provide tight, single-failure tolerant performance in a lightweight package. Carleton's heritage with this kind of regulator dates back to the Orbiting Solar Observatory in the 1970s.
