The GEM 60 is a graphite epoxy motor that will supply extra boost to the Delta IV launch vehicle. Carleton's regulator will control the flow of gaseous helium in the GEM 60 thrust vector actuation (TVA) system. The TVA system allows the motor to pivot, and thereby, control the orientation of the launch vehicle while in flight. Carleton will produce 280 regulators during the next five years.
